If Jesus has All authority, that means there is no authority except that which He gives or allows to be taken. But one thing is certain, there is no power or authority that can ever overthrow the Kingdom of God, and so we rejoice in hope because Jesus has won the victory for us!
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
The authority is given to Jesus by the Father (thus, the Father is exempt from the Son’s authority; cf. 1 Corinthians 15:27–28), and the Son becomes “the one through whom all God’s authority is mediated (thus, Jesus as the “mediatorial King”).
In Christianity, the term biblical authority refers to two complementary ideas: the extent to which one can regard the commandments and doctrines within the Old and New Testament scriptures as authoritative over humans’ belief and conduct.
What does it mean to say God has authority over the limits of reason. God determines what is reasonable and what is not. What does it mean to say God has authority over our understanding of reality. It commits us to a view of reality, larger than we can comprehend.
Do we have the same power as Jesus?
On the day of Pentecost when Jesus ascended to heaven, God ‘s Power, The Holy Spirit, that Same Power came down and became available to each of us who believe in Jesus Christ. … That Same Power lives in and through us! The Same Power, the Power of the Holy Spirit, allows us to stand in victory.
Walking in spiritual authority or divine ability is living under the influence of God’s grace and unlimited favour. It means to have spiritual power and authority of God. Spiritual authority of the believer gives Christian the enablement to live a fruitful and prosperous life.
Romans 13:1-2 says: “Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow.”
All power, all authority comes from God. Romans 13:1, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”
